Expanding Your Library

I have been talking a lot lately about the book Steal Like An Artist by Austin Kleon. It is a book that any artist should read and keep their sticky pad handy. It has tons of tips to help make any artist become a pro.
On page 20, the author talks about how it is important to always be reading. As an artist, this is completely agreeable because reading leads you to knowledge and knowledge leads you to a deeper understanding. That deeper understanding helps you get inspired to create something that communicates with the viewers intellectually.

Above is a picture featuring the 10 books I have chose to check out to get my self reading. I have explained before in a recent blog that I am not the biggest reader. Well, it is time for me to break that.
All 10 of these books are ones I wish I had in my unread library (mentioned also on page 20) at home. I have a small collection already of some books in my unread library, but currently cannot access them because I have recently just moved (so in other words I need to locate them first).

In a couple future blogs, I will be reviewing one of two of these. I encourage everyone to expand their horizons by always reading and gaining knowledge this was (even if there isn't use for it right away).

Its been real,
Lindsey :)
